PRESENTS
THE FUTURE OF COPLANAR SLIDING DOORS
thanks to an innovative flexible, essential, and minimal system
With reference to all the current mechanisms for the movement of coplanar sliding doors available on the market today, we have developed and filed two alternative and highly innovative patents named LEONARDO and GALILEO.
These mechanisms are characterized and distinguished from what is available on the market by their originality and innovation.
INNOVATIVE FEATURES
- The door always moves with the center of gravity between the suspension and sliding wheels. This technically perfect arrangement has been adopted by all current non-coplanar sliding doors produced for decades and still in production, without reliability issues.
- The handle for opening and sliding the door can be positioned on either side, or only on the outside.
- The door slides open and closed always parallel to the furniture.
- In the “extra module of 10/15 cm” version, when the door is fully open, there is no overlap.
- In the LEONARDO three-door version, the central door can move and slide both to the right and to the left.
- The doors do not require mechanical milling processes to accommodate components of the mechanism.
- The mechanism can be mounted on the furniture with extreme ease.
Developed in collaboration with
Leonardo e Leonardo Self
The doors, when opening and closing, move from a recessed to an extended position, allowing one door to slide over the other: the right door slides resting on the left one and vice versa.
The LEONARDO mechanism was covered by an expired patent many years ago but enabled the production and sale of thousands of devices known for their extraordinary reliability. This patent has been reviewed and modified with significant improvements, claiming several differences, and has been approved and validated.
WHAT IT IS INDICATED FOR
The mechanism is particularly suitable for doors weighing up to 40 kg.
The target market includes: medium to large-sized wardrobes, children’s bedrooms, office cabinets, and sideboards.
The LEONARDO SELF model, an economical version for the minimalist DIY market, would be offered with loose components in a boxed set, including assembly instructions and a drilling template for securing it with screws onto the furniture.
Galileo
The doors, when opening and closing, always slide on a single robust profile that rests on the furniture. Meanwhile, the mechanism that allows the doors to move from a recessed to an extended position is similar to the Leonardo mechanism, but appropriately structured to handle heavy door weights.
WHAT IT IS INDICATED FOR
Mechanism particularly suitable for large doors weighing up to over 100 kg.
The target market includes: traditional medium to large-sized bedrooms, high-end rooms with full-front mirror doors, walk-in closets, with mechanisms mounted on the ceiling.
